Culture Is Life
Indigenous Australians now have one of the highest rates of youth suicide in the world. Their loss of cultural identity, and the spiritual connection they once held with the land and environment are key drivers for this tragic statistic. As their traditions and heritage are destroyed, the sense of loss to the indigenous community has become overwhelming, which in turn is leading to cross cultural confusion and welfare dependency for these once proud and resourceful people.
Through the heart of Kevin Murphy and the brand’s financial support for the Culture is Life campaign, strong indigenous community led solutions are being voiced and heard. Culture and a sense of connection to their country are vital foundations for the social and emotional wellbeing of indigenous people. Together we can help make a real difference to restore balance and harmony to these ravaged communities.
